About Us

We are Aaron and Vicki from the UK. Back in 2014 I was working in the Construction Industry and had done for years, although I don't mind that type of work and have made decent money I am not passionate about it. Towards the end of that year I decided it was time for a break so I took a 3 month trip out to Australia. Along my three month holiday down the east coast of OZ I made a lot of friends and had the time of my life. Travelling from Melbourne to Cairns I bumped into Vicki along the way, we spent a few days together in the paradise town of Airlie Beach and bonded a rather close friendship. After my three months of pure bliss it was time to head back home, I stopped off in Bangkok for 10 days first to experience a total different kind of culture, I assure you it certainly was different! After my brief Thailand experience I had to return home to a freezing cold England with only £20 to my name. It didn't take me too long to find construction work again but as time went by I longed to be out of the country again exploring, the normal life isn't for me. In less than 6 months I met up with Vicki again back in England and we became an item. As the months went by I was in need of yet another holiday so the two of us booked a bargain holiday out to Majorca to ease the travelling blues, It was an amazing trip but returning home was so depressing for me, I needed something bigger,better and longer. After months of persuasion I managed to convince Vicki that a 1 year trip to New Zealand was a great idea. At the beginning of 2016 the two of us booked a flight out to New Zealand for our one year working holiday, we stopped off at one or two places along the way; Bangkok, Krabi, Phi Phi Islands, Phuket and Bali. After our short burst of Thailand and Bali we eventually made it Christchurch, New Zealand ready to start our 1 year adventure. This small country may be hidden away from the rest of the world but the scenery makes the journey all worth while, it is the best country we have ever been to in terms of beauty and adventure. Once our 1 year of a life time trip was over we headed back to the UK, of course we stopped at one or two places again; Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Hong Kong (I am currently working on 'The Journey - Asia' web site). Although I say I don't want to work in Construction I still find myself in those kind of jobs where ever I go as I have experience in that field. For now I am happy to work in any industry as long as I get to travel, in the future I see myself working in the Travel and tourism business, it's much better to be in a job you are passionate about, after all most people tend to work the majority of their life so best make it interesting. Earning big bucks isn't a life long goal for me, being happy and earning enough money to live the life you want to live is much more important. You would be amazed with what little money the two of us have spent touring dream destinations. I like to think I have a skill for stretching out money whilst still living comfortably and seeing the world. Sadly in March 2017 the two of us broke up but are still good friends. In June 2017 I am off out again to discover the second largest country in the World, Yes a 2 year working holiday in Canada is happening, I can't wait!
