Tahunanui is the main beach in the city of Nelson, New Zealand. It is a popular swimming destination as the water is really calm. The Nelson region has been the sunniest part of New Zealand for quite some time. We both worked and lived in Nelson for over three months and it was great, it really was sunny most of the time. There is so much to do there for such a small place especially for lovers of the great outdoors. When we weren't working we spent a lot of time exploring the scenery, close by you have the Grampians which are a set of hills perfect for a leisurely stroll. The Center Of New Zealand is also another great walk talking just 10 - 15 minutes to reach the summit. If you want to venture out further a trip to the Nelson Lakes can't be missed! Just over an hours drive away you have the beautiful Abel Tasman National Park where you will come across some of the country's finest beaches. Nelson is expanding into a place for retirement, it's easy to see why with it's stunning views and pretty laid back vibe.
