South Island

The deserted yet mind blowing South Island is said to be 'The Real New Zealand'. "You haven't seen this beautiful country until you have visited the South Island" is a phrase I once heard whilst travelling. I do agree though, this mountainous island is quite different to the North and is home to some of the country's most popular and well known travel locations. Queenstown is a major tourist spot for the crazy adrenaline activities on offer. Milford Sound is another popular spot known for it's spectacular fiords set among towering mountains. The lovely seaside town of Kaikoura is a great spot for whale watching

Best Mountain

Being the biggest mountain in the country it has got to be Mt Cook

Greatest Lake

Lake Pukaki is outstanding! That lovely blue colour is amazing to see first hand.

Must Do

Take a trip out to Milford Sound, the best place I have ever seen!
